We are delighted that you have chosen to use Pinpoint Media to produced your presentation video for ProDreamUSA. In order to make the filming of the video go smoothly then please read through the following information:
Location – as we are filming at your golf club, please make sure the club is aware that we will be on site and have given their permission. For the club's information, most shoots will be filmed by a single cameraman, although in some instances there maybe two people from Pinpoint on site. Additionally, we sometimes use a drone, this is fully insured and the pilot is fully CAA approved. As such the drone is never used to fly over golfers or properties. Provided we have good access to the course the process should not take more than 3 hours – hopefully 2 hours. Again for your club’s information, as a company we are very experienced at working at golf events and on golf courses and strive to make sure we do not cause inconvenience to members/golfers who are playing their normal rounds of golf.
In terms of planning, it will be your decision which holes we use for filming, as you know the course best. In advance please select the holes you feel should be used. We will be looking to film the following shots:
- Introduction: as you will be speaking to camera you need to select a quiet area, with a background that excludes car parks etc.
- Drives: a long Par 4 or Par 5. (please bear in mind that we film from behind the tee, right of the tee (for a right hander) and from in front of the golfer looking back. Therefore, in selecting a hole, bushes behind tee boxes and on the left of the tee box are ideal (right of the tee box for left handers)
- Long Approach Shots: the same hole as above.
- Wedges: a second Par 4 to play full wedges into. - Par 3: A Par 3, ideally not too long a hole.
- Bunker: a suitable deep bunker.
- Greens: a couple of greens to chip to and putt on.
Please bear in mind that you ideally want to be away from other golfers, so if we are filming in the morning then selecting holes on the back 9 is best and likewise if we are on site in the afternoon then front 9 holes are probably best. Putting and chipping can always be filmed on practice greens and short game areas, if the course is busy.
The content of the video is formulaic (to keep costs low) and no changes will be made to the edit of the standard video supplied, unless agreed in writing beforehand and costs agreed with ProDreamUSA. Whilst we appreciate that this video is to make you look as good as possible, there are certain limitations. For an individual then each shot will be limited 4 hits, and the best one will be selected – in edit. We appreciate that you would like every shot dropping in the hole, but there is a balance so that the coaches see a realistic performance not a completely stage managed one.
In terms of clothing, it is your choice what you wear and if you wish to change at any stage. We do aim to make the video look as though this is a normal round of golf so please bear that in mind. You need to select the music you wish to accompany your video. Most music will require rights to be paid to use, so here is a selection of rights free sites. Please select the track you require. (details to follow) Before the shoot, or before we commence the edit, you need to complete the attached document detailing your information, golfing CV, and stats. If you do not have information for any part then leave it blank and we will edit that part out of the video. Once the shoot is complete and we have your information, then we will edit the videos to the agreed format and send a draft for sign off via ProDreamUSA. Please note that weather in the UK can sometimes be a challenge. 24 hours before any shoot we suggest you look at the weather forecast. If it looks like heavy rain then you will need to cancel in writing. Cancellation with less than 24 hours noticed will be charged a cancellation fee.
